The Nursery - Your Input Please!

We working on our profile for our agency. Their format is a 24-page photoalbumn/narrative -- about 1/2 pictures and 1/2 narrative describing our lives. 24 pages sounds huge, but it is amazing how quickly that fills up. The page on the interior of our house has been a struggle, because our home is small with only one bedroom, and we don't want it to look too small. The sample profiles we saw showed off the guest room that would become the nursery. I decided to show off our completed "nursery nook" (not calling it that of course!) so that our pics showed that we had enough room for baby and we were ready for him or her. Because the awesome skylight is right above it, the lighting is weird, because the top looks too dark in photos. So I'd love your input about which lighting looks better.

This is the photo with back lighting and front lighting.

This is the photo with only natural lighting. I did take about 50 photos, and these 2 have the best lighting.

It's actually much cuter (and bigger) in real life, with butterflies hanging from the ceiling, plus beautiful little hand made signs that say "Hope" and "Dream." We got the signs and butterflies at an amazing toy store with Isabella, imaging them in her nursery nook, but hanging them for our forever baby is a exciting thing to do.

By the way, I may not have struck you as a lace, bows, and girly baby stuff kind of person. I'm not. At all. But, you ladies just wait! There is something about baby-planning that brings out these crazy feminine desires/instincts/hormones ... whatever they are, your husband will just have to go with it!

I think it's beautiful and cozy and so sweet! I personally like the first photo, it has a warmer look that I am attracted to. Good luck with the album, it's a lot of work!

I agree - the first photo is warmer. :) It is so cute! It's so funny how babies totally make us want to be girly. Good luck with your album!

I have to disagree. I much prefer the second photo without the yellow tones to it.

But it's very cute either way!
