Yesterday morning I woke up nauseous. S had to bring me crackers in bed before I could even get up. After throwing up twice, he went to the store and got me ginger ale and chicken noodle soup, and I spent the rest of the day in bed sleeping or reading.
Just the flu.
But, waking up nauseous was exciting, and I tried all the little things I tell my clients to do for morning sickness (only the acupressure worked, because, as I said it was just the flu, not morning sickness). I am a midwife. I know morning sickness or all-day sickness or whatever you are blessed to get as a pregnant woman does NOT show up immediately after implantation. But I fantasized that all the progesterone I was taking was making me feel it super early, and S enjoyed the fantasy too. He waited on me hand and foot, as we spent the day pretending I was pregnant.
Today I am fine, a little weak, because after all, it was just the flu.
Today I am grateful for:
* my sweet husband who took such good care of me when I was sick.
* my good friend who is an awesome house-cleaner -- we've hired her to do occassional cleaning for us, and it is such a nice treat.
What I am doing today to take care of myself:
* paid someone to clean my house for me!!! Yippee! (ok, mother-in-law is coming this week, it really needed a good clean)
* reading and lounging a lot.
(By the way, do any of you ever hit "next blog" on blogspot? It takes you to the "next blog" in some random organization of blogs. I am always surprised to see people blogging about things other than infertility. Wrestling. Traveling. Photography. Marching band. RV living. Just living. It's pretty funny.)

Yes, I too am always shocked to see blogs not related to IF. Wouldn't be wonderful to one day just blog about a hobby? Something that we wouldn't need support for?
Keep pretending the nausea was morning sickness. It can't hurt!
I have been reading your blog for some time now but never commented. Hopefully we will both be able to blog about something non-IF related someday.
Anyways, I tagged you - see my blog for details :)
