My agency called me this afternoon about a baby who is 6 weeks old and is being placed for adoption. She currently is with a foster family. S and I hashed it out, asked a million questions, and finally took the leap -- we said yes!
The adoption counselor is meeting with the birthparents tomorrow, and they plan to sign Termination of Parental Rights at that time. When that is done, she will call us and we will plan to go out there. It's 5 hours away, so we'd go out Wednesday morning. That way we can both settle things for work.
I am feeling a little excited, a little anxious, and mostly at peace. I think this really could be our daughter! I'll post more as I know it. :-)
