One of the (many) fun things about being a mom is she makes me feel like a rock star, and Pinecone is the president of my fan club. When I come into the room, her eyes light up. She keeps close tabs on me whenever she is not in my arms -- even from across the room. Half the time now while nursing, she won't stay focused on eating because she is too distracted looking at me. At night, I've taken to nursing in the dark to try to keep her focused ...
The look of "I am so in love with you" is beyond description. Of course she sees the same look on my face. We spend hours a day in some variation of looking at each other making goo goo eyes.

As always, you've made my day, Evergreen. It is so wonderful to hear about how in love you are with each other.
It's SO true! This post made me smile because I could totally picture Charlie giving me that same look. Being a mom is great...I even think that "I'm a rock star" attitude goes with me when I leave the house and makes me better/brighter at those other things!! :)

And I am definitely interested in hearing how the wool diaper cover works. I picked up some wool to do one myself, but I'm not certain what pattern to use. I found one that I like, but it doesn't have any length down the legs, and most of the patterns do have short legs on them. I don't know which is better. I just like the legless ones more.

I never thought of it like that, but I am oh, so happy when DD lights up when she sees me and I know I do it too...(I see it in the photos:)...Wait til your DD starts with the "Ma Ma Ma!", It's awesome:)
