We just finished with our postplacement homestudy visit. It went really well, and was what I'd heard it would be like -- us sitting around and talking about our adoption and how wonderful our baby is. Pinecone was in prime social condition -- smiling, listening attentively, being an interested member of the conversation. The SW joked that she was so perfect she reminded him of the movie "Stepford Wives". Did she ever fuss, he asked?
This is PC's little secret. She screams bloody murder in the car, but when we get somewhere, she is so sweet and smiley that no one would ever believe us. :-) She really really likes people, and can spend an infinite amount of time looking into someone's eyes and watching their facial expressions. Of course, we are her favorite, but she will happily do this with most people.
We've had a really busy week getting ready for the visit. Lots of organizing and deep cleaning and runs to the dump. My front yard looks great. My deck looks great. My house looks great. Now, if only I can maintain that .....

Glad the homestudy visit went so well. It makes me laugh that Pinecone can be so sneaky about keeping her fussing a secret! Sounds like you three are settling right in to each other beautifully.
