I made a brilliant discovery today, that I feel compelled to share with all my friends out in blog-land.
Protein shakes. Yummy but messy, and the cleaning up of the blender is always the weak link for me. But today, I just put my protein powder, some milk and cinnamon (my quick and dirty shake recipe) into a jar, screwed the lid on, and shook it up. Voila! A perfectly blended shake with no mess! I chug-a-lugged, then rinsed out the jar, and that was the end of it.
This has revolutionized my shake making. Just thought I'd share.

Aren't shakes supposed to have something frozen?
Didn't you just make cinnamon milk?
Ah, yes, it may look that way. But with a scoop of vanilla protein powder, it now has 22g of protein and enough thickness to fill me up when I don't have time for a real meal.
True, for fruit shakes, etc, you do have to use the blender.
What kind of powder are you using? That sounds yummy! And I love your old school discovery. ;)
