Holy Sh*t!

I'm a little speechless. I don't even know what to name this post. We have a potential match. The baby was born this morning, and we are driving out there tomorrow morning to meet the baby and the birth mother. The birth mother is Native American, and I have a small amount of Native American (which moved us to the top of the list for her - we hadn't even signed up with the agency yet!). If her tribe will accept my ancestry as good enough, then we are good. They may not, and we'd risk having the baby taken away from us within the 1st week (we should get a good idea within the week if they will bite). But we'd rather risk her being taken away then to miss her 1st week of life.

I am excited, nervous, scared, speechless.

Holy shit. I may be a mother tomorrow. In 18 hours, I may be holding my daughter in my arms. Holy shit. I guess that's the title of this post!
