A Room of Her Own

Baby Girl is going to be getting her own bedroom very soon. Construction starts this weekend.

Pinecone has shared our bedroom, the only bedroom, a loft with no doors (we described our home as "cozy" in our profile -- and it is!). We are having a section of the bedroom closed off for her. With a door that we can shut. And sound insulation in the walls. And a window from which to see the tree tops and Inspiration Creek.



I hope she will sleep like a gem in her new quieter space. It will be little -- just big enough for her crib, changing table and clothes, and a little floor space for her rocking horse and a few toys. And walls made out of sheets of birch to hold the Nikki McClure posters we selected for her just after she arrived.



Now my big dilemma is whether to paint a tree or butterflies on her walls...
