Remember that Vanilla Ice song? Well, we sing it every day in my house now, and Pinecone thinks it's the greatest! In fact, she loves all 80's songs. S lost most of his hearing in the early 90's, so his musical education stopped then (and you'll remember, I'm sure, that the early 90's was no where near as good as the 80's, musically speaking....). Anyway, we sing this song when it's time to EAT!
She is currently only eating rice and sweet potatoes, because I haven't been able to get any other first veggies organic. I have them on order from the co-op, so in a couple of weeks, her real feasting will begin. Right now, I am sticking with rice (homemade brown rice pureed with formula) and veggies. I'd like her to get a real taste for the veggies before her sweet-loving taste buds discover the world of fruits. Not that "sweet potatoes" aren't called "sweet" for a reason. Do you have any idea how DELICIOUS pureed baked sweet potatoes are? No wonder she kicks with excitement whenever she sees a spoon!
As far as set up, we've settled on her rocking seat in front of the fire, with Mom or Dad sitting on the floor in front of her dishing out the goods. Surprisingly, the dogs pretty much leave us alone. Just wait until she starts on the finger foods....

So cute;)...LOVE 80's music:)...I made several compilations we dance to up in R's room:)...Bon Jovi, Bruce, my 80's hair bands...FUN! (thanks for your condolences regarding my grandpa:))...
We have a variety of songs that have been adapted to B. Not all of them necessarily make sense. One about diaper changes set to the lyrics of the 60s song "Bus Stop" by The Hollies.
How did the deskunking of the dogs go before Christmas?
